Megan Ross is a graphic designer who also works with web design and analytics. She thinks of herself as a graphic web designer plus! She loves having a creative job that gives her a new task every day.
Megan grew up on the east coast in a small town called Frostburg until her family moved to Utah when she was young. She still remembers when Lehi was a small town and not the new Silicon Valley it is today. But just has her hometown changed, she found her interests evolve with time.
“When I first started college I was majoring in something completely different,” she says. “I always loved being creative, but I didn’t want to be a starving artist for the rest of my life living in my mother’s basement, so I went with a more practical career choice. I took a few graphic design classes and fell in love.”
In her free time, she loves being creative, whether it be through renovating her house or participating in art shows in Salt Lake and Utah County. That same creative drive pushes her work as part of a content creation agency. “It’s challenging,” she says. “I’m not doing the same thing every day. Content creation is an industry that is constantly changing and evolving, so I am constantly learning new things.”
What she loves about graphic design is the variety: she gets to stretch herself every day to make new, unique designs. But what inspires her is her co-workers. “No joke,” she says, “the people I work with on a daily basis are some of the most talented people I’ve ever met. Their awesome work in turns inspires me to do my best.” As flattering as that is, it’s Megan’s dedication to client satisfaction that inspires our team even more.
“I like to make sure I have all the information I need before I get started,” she says. “That way I won’t have to do it twice.” She gets that information by asking all the questions she can. “I’m pretty sure people get sick of all of my questions fairly quickly,” she jokes. After that, she says, “I just do whatever I can in order to make sure that everyone is happy with the final product.”
Whether it be watching youtube videos, attending conferences, searching pinterest, or exploring the world around her, Megan brings creative passion to her personal life and work. It’s that drive that we love about her!
