(KUTV) — Students and administrators from Utah Valley and Brigham Young universities – and their mascots – came together to kick the Valley United food drive Friday.

About two dozen students and adminstrators from UVU and BYU, along with mascots Willy the Wolverine and Cosmo the Cougar, converged at the food pantry of Community Action Services and Food Bank in Provo to kick off Utah County’s annual Valley United Food drive.

Students from both universities rallied together to collect food and monetary donations for Utah families in need.

Cosmo and Willy each escorted families through the pantry, helping them load shopping carts with food, too.
